Ron has served as our chief executive officer and member of the board since June of 2007. He joined the company in 2006 and served as chief financial officer prior to becoming the chief executive officer. Ron brings extensive experience in finance management and operations experience to Emmi Solutions. Before joining Emmi Solutions, Ron served as Chief Financial Officer for Exelon’s Enterprises Division where his responsibilities included operations improvement and the eventual complete wind down of this $2 billion portfolio of businesses. He also spent time as a contract CFO for infiNET Solutions where he developed financial plans, implemented various financial and business processes and secured funding. He also served in senior finance roles at Searle Pharmaceuticals and Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young). Ron is a CPA and earned a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Champaign.

Jordan is a seasoned business leader, marketing executive and proven entrepreneur. His broad experience covers many start-ups, daily operations, business development and marketing/communications. Jordan has founded and been on the management team of several startup companies. In 1986, he successfully co-founded and started his own company, which he ran for over 13 years. Before founding Emmi Solutions, Jordan served as VP of Marketing for Cognitor, a Chicago business analytics software development firm. Jordan was also the CEO of The Psychographic Design Group. He is a frequent lecturer at the University of Chicago Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and he’s a member of the Economic Club of Chicago. Jordan earned a B.A. in Advertising from the University of Wisconsin and an M.S. in Marketing & Advertising from Northwestern University.

Dr. Sobel is a Urological Surgeon who completed his training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical School. Prior to his medical career, Dr. Sobel spent several years as a corporate attorney at the law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. He earned a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.G.S. from the University of Michigan.

Devin joined Emmi Solutions in 2004 and currently serves as our Vice President, Business Development and Partnerships and Sales Vice President. Prior to joining Emmi Solutions, Devin was the Director of Health Plan Practice at First Consulting Group. In this role, he led sales activity for the payer business segment throughout the Midwest region. Before he was the Director of Health Plan Practice, Devin fulfilled other roles within First Consulting Group including the provider and payer strategic consulting practice. In addition, Devin has experience in hospital administration at the University of North Carolina Healthcare System and Cooper University Hospital in southern New Jersey. He earned a B.A. from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. in Healthcare Administration from Temple University. Devin then completed a post-graduate fellowship in Healthcare Administration at the University of North Carolina Healthcare System.

Mark joined Emmi Solutions in 2006 and currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Products. Mark brings extensive experience managing teams and process improvement in startup, early stage and corporate environments. Prior to joining Emmi Solutions, he was Chief Technology Officer at Channel Velocity, Inc., an eBay reseller. Mark was also an owner and key executive with The Premisys Corporation where he was instrumental in the company’s growth and acquisition. He then joined JD Edwards and subsequently PeopleSoft, where he played an active role in sales support, product development, quality assurance, client implementations and product management. Mark was an Associate Partner at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, where he led a 60 person team engaged in a software development joint venture with IBM. Mark earned a B.S. from Princeton University and an M.S. from the University of Notre Dame.

Carrie joined Emmi Solutions in 2006 and currently serves as our Vice President, General Counsel. Carrie is an attorney with a variety of experience in corporate and technology transactions. Prior to joining Emmi Solutions, She was an associate at Latham & Watkins, LLP, a large, international law firm, where she focused on complex mergers and acquisitions and general corporate representation. Her experience also includes structuring and negotiating technology and intellectual property oriented transactions, including pharmaceutical and biotechnology licensing and supply agreements, software development agreements and e-commerce and Internet-related agreements. Carrie earned a B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Duke University.

John joined Emmi Solutions in 2008 as the Vice President, Finance. John brings over 19 years of diverse experience in all facets of financial management with companies ranging from large publicly traded enterprises, to smaller private equity investments. Built on top of a big 4 public accounting background, His experience includes financial analysis, strategic planning, restructuring and recapitalization, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance and financial management. Prior to joining Emmi Solutions, John served as Vice President of Finance and Secretary for Orius Corp., a telecom infrastructure services provider, and was significantly involved in Orius’ financial restructuring. Prior to Orius, John spent several years in corporate finance at AT&T, covering various roles and responsibilities from financial planning to decision support. John began his career at the public accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP. John holds a B.A. from Indiana University and a Masters degree in Accountancy from DePaul University.

Sharon joined Emmi Solutions in 2006 as the Vice President of Human Resources. She has a broad background in Human Resources. She has worked in many key roles in human resources for Kraft Foods including Human Resources Generalist for sales and customer service, research development and quality, and the global finance division. Her experience includes recruiting college and experienced hires, managing work life policies and procedures, and development and delivery of training programs in sales and customer service functions. Sharon also managed the Diversity and Work Life programs for Kraft Foods North America. Sharon earned a B.S. in Communications in Radio/Television from Morehead State University.

Prior to joining Emmi Solutions, Bob was the Vice President of eBusiness Development for Uniprise, a division of UnitedHealth Group. In this role, Bob helped lead a major overhaul and consumer-centric redesign of United’s member portal, myuhc.com. He also served as the Voice of the Consumer, a program Bob pioneered to effectively collect and analyze the needs of United’s 26 million members. Prior to joining Uniprise, Bob served as the Director of Payer Solutions for HealthShare Technology (now WebMD Quality Services). Under his leadership, HealthShare became the market leader for consumer decision support tools and its client base expanded to include over 30 of the nation’s leading health plans. Bob earned a B.S. in Business Administration from University of Connecticut.

Prior to joining Emmi Solutions, Ron held various director level positions in Healthcare administration at Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare. Most recently he was responsible for the creation of a start-up medical equipment company and was the Administrative Director for Home Health and Hospice. Ron has extensive management experience in an acute care setting as well as knowledge in revenue cycle management; and expertise in software selection, implementation and system conversions. He has a strong track record in both clinical and business operations improvement, access to health services, and strategic planning. Ron earned a B.A. in Business Management from DePaul University.
