Devin Gross, Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Devin pushes Emmi Solutions forward—creating an atmosphere of innovation, collaboration and client service. He is responsible for the company's vision, nationwide operations and overall success. Devin is a longtime leader in patient empowerment. He has spent 15 years making patient-centered care a reality. Devin is a regular speaker at conferences, events and healthcare organizations around the U.S.
Prior to joining Emmi Solutions in 2003, Devin was the Director of Health Plan Practice at First Consulting Group. Additionally, he has experience as a Hospital Administrator and Healthcare Information Technology Consultant. As such, he understands the challenges of bringing innovation to healthcare and what it takes to make new solutions successful. Devin holds a Bachelor's degree from Lehigh University and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Temple University.
Jordan Dolin, Co-Founder
Jordan Dolin co-founded Emmi Solutions in 2002 and has responsibilities in direct sales and marketing.
Jordan has 25 years of entrepreneurial experience across several industries including technology, marketing and consumer products. Prior to founding Emmi Solutions, Jordan spent 3 years as a member of the Executive team of Artificial Intelligence software company. And before that he co-founded the Psychographic Design Group, which he successfully led for over 14 years. Jordan is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Chicago's Booth Graduate School of Business and a member of the Economic Club of Chicago. Jordan received his BS from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and his MS in Integrated Marketing and Communications from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
David Sobel, MD, Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer
In 2002, David co-founded Emmi Solutions in order to find a creative answer to address issues of miscommunication in healthcare. Dr. Sobel is a urological surgeon, who completed his training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL and earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
Before starting his medical career, David spent several years as a Corporate Attorney at the law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. He has also earned a JD from the University of Michigan Law School and a BGS from the University of Michigan.
Nimesh Patel, Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer, Nimesh keeps Emmi Solutions at the forefront of healthcare innovation guided by his strategic vision of achieving optimal technology outcomes for patients and providers. Nimesh’s primary responsibilities are focused on expanding Emmi Solutions’ integrated patient engagement platform and developing new products to meet the evolving healthcare market.
Nimesh has worked with technology platforms for over 15 years with a reputation for delivering advanced results. Before joining Emmi Solutions, Nimesh has held several technology leadership positions in the financial services sector at UBS, ICE Trust, Boston Options Exchange. In addition, Nimesh has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and an M.B.A. in Finance Entrepreneurship and Strategy from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Greg Blew, Chief Creative Officer
Greg is responsible for the company's creative philosophy, methodology, and capabilities. He ensures quality and consistency of content, style and experience across all products and solutions. He and his team strive to create beautiful, compelling experiences that make meaningful connections with patients and their circle of care.
Greg has been with Emmi Solutions since its inception, and has over a decade of experience creating award-winning medical illustrations, animations, and interactive applications for publishers, advertisers, pharmaceutical companies, and museums. Greg also serves as a professor in the University of Illinois at Chicago's Biomedical Visualization graduate program where he teaches subjects ranging from instructional design, interaction design, and animation.
John Starr, Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, John is responsible for ensuring the profitable and sustainable growth of Emmi Solutions, working to further our mission and extend our reach through a focus on management of resources, thoughtful pricing and strategic partnerships. John takes a collaborative approach to finance, gathering input and alignment to make sure our policies, proposals and contracts support our business goals.
John brings over 20 years of diverse experience in all facets of financial management with companies ranging from large publicly traded enterprises, to smaller private equity investments. Prior to Emmi Solutions, John held a variety of senior financial positions at Orius Corp., AT&T and Deloitte.
Mark Mulert, SVP Research and Analytics
As the head of analytics, Mark works closely with our clients to quantify the impact of our solutions. He's conducted numerous research studies and collaborated on case studies with organizations of all sizes. Mark is very passionate about precision, process and efficiency, and constantly examines our operations to ensure we provide the best service and products to our clients.
Before joining the Emmi Solutions team, Mark managed teams and process improvement in start-up, early stage and corporate environments at companies such as Channel Velocity, Inc., The Premisys Corporation, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, and Skidmore, Owings & Merill.
Shara Cohen, JD, SVP Client Experience
As the Senior Vice President of Client Experience, Shara is focused on the success of Emmi Solutions clients and their efforts to communicate with and engage patients. Shara and her team pay close attention to our clients and the challenges they face—understanding their concerns and making those concerns their own. She is committed to empowering clients to engage patients with exciting and effective technology solutions.
Shara has over 12 years experience working in the healthcare industry. Prior to Emmi Solutions, she was the CEO of ELM Exchange and VP of Business Development at Advanced Practice Strategies. In addition, Shara holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a JD from Fordham University School of Law.
Steve Martin, SVP Sales
As Senior Vice President of Sales, Steve is focused on leading the sales and business development process, increasing enterprise opportunities and preparing the organization for future growth as patient engagement continues to play a major role in clinical and financial outcomes. Steve brings more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry and sales management to this role.
Before joining Emmi Solutions, Steve served as Senior Vice President of Sales at Merge Healthcare. Previously, he held the position of Senior Vice President of Segment Sales at Allscripts, following Allscripts’ acquisition of Extended Care Information Network. Steve currently serves on the Board of Directors for WoundRounds, an electronic documentation and wound care management system.
Patricia Kentgen, VP Product
As Vice President of Product, Patricia Kentgen oversees the execution and development of Emmi Solutions’ product roadmap by identifying market opportunities, leveraging healthcare technology developments and collaborating with customers. Ms. Kentgen supports Emmi Solutions’ business vision of enabling healthcare providers and payers to offer personalized, interactive and intuitive experience to individuals throughout all points in their continuum of care.
Ms. Kentgen is an innovative, entrepreneurial healthcare services leader with more than 20 years of proven experience. She has served in senior leadership roles in clinical operations, sales and client services operations and product management at several nationally known organizations including Alere, United Healthcare/OptumHealth, CorSolutions and Pharos Innovations. She holds a BS in Nursing from Loyola University of Chicago and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Women Business Leaders in Health Care, Chicago Health Executive Forum, and Obesity Action Coalition.
Carrie Nielsen, VP General Counsel
As Vice President of General Counsel, Carrie is responsible for weighing legal concerns with the immediate and long-term needs of our growing company. At Emmi Solutions, she handles all legal issues including contracts, HIPAA obligations, corporate matters and a myriad of other matters.
Prior to working at Emmi Solutions, Carrie was an associate at Latham & Watkins, LLP, a large international law firm, where her focus covered complex mergers and acquisitions, technology transactions and licensing agreements. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and a JD from Duke University School of Law.
Sharon Wallace, VP Human Resources
Sharon brings a business focus to human resources, creating policies and processes to ensure our employees are invested in the bottom line. At Emmi Solutions, she is responsible for everything that affects HR—from compensation and payroll to culture, employee development, coaching and counseling.
Sharon has nearly 20 years of experience working in corporate HR. Before joining Emmi Solutions, she held multiple leadership roles in the global Human Resources department at Kraft Foods.
Bob Tavares, VP Care Management
For over a decade, Bob has helped payers, providers and other healthcare organizations develop and execute web-based patient engagement strategies. His hands-on experience makes him uniquely suited to guide Emmi Solutions' Care Management strategy during a period of increased collaboration between payers and providers through models such as the Patient Centered Medical Home.
Bob's primary responsibility is to develop and manage channel partners who integrate Emmi Solutions products into their population health, care coordination and care management solutions. Prior to working at Emmi Solutions, Bob was the Vice President of eBusiness Development at Uniprise and the Director of Payer Solutions for WebMD Quality Services (formally known as HealthShare Technology).
