2016 ClearMark Awards: Multimedia

The ClearMark Awards are given to the best plain language communication tools as judged by a panel of international experts using a strict set of criteria.

The Advance Directives Emmi® Program won an award of distinction in the Multimedia/Long category. The program engages patients with simple language, compelling visuals and empathetic narration to help people understand what advance directives are and why to create them and talk with their physicians and family about their wishes.


KLAS “Patient Engagement 2015: Rhetoric turns into Reality”

Emmi was recognized as a leader in multiple segments in KLAS’ report, including the highest overall score of 91.5 in the patient outreach category.

The Emmi®  Breast Cancer Decision Aid Program earned the recognition of award finalist. The program utilizes simple language, compelling visuals and empathetic narra tion to help people make sense of their treatment options.


2015 Health Literacy Award

The Institute for Healthcare Advancement honored our work with Dr. Siegel of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Gastroenterology with a 2015 Health Literacy Award in the area of research. The IHA Health Literacy Awards aim to encourage, recognize and reward initiatives that make an impact on the practice of educating or empowering organizations to deliver clear messages that advance health literacy.

Emmi won top place in the Multimedia category for its Heart Failure Transition series, which consists of interactive multimedia programs and voice recognition calls to provide support and step-by-step instructions for discharged heart failure patients.


2013 Leonard G. Doak Health Literacy Innovator Award

Emmi was honored as First Place winner for the Clear Focus Multi-Media Award. This national competition seeks to recognize the country’s best practices in print, in practices and in the media. The award is given to those who demonstrate commitment to excellence in health literacy in a website or other form of communication, based on usability, design, and reaching a targeted audience.


2012 ClearMark Awards: Website/Dynamic Media

The ClearMark Awards are given to the best plain language documents and web sites. They are judged by a panel of international experts, following a strict set of criteria.

Emmi won for its interactive shared decision-making program, Considering Treatments for Crohn's Disease.


2011 Mature Market Resource Center: New Product & Technology Awards

The Mature Market Resource Center announced the winners of its third annual New Product & Technology Awards® — which recognizes innovative products and services for older adults and their families.

The 2011 competition featured 29 entry categories—20 product, service and technology categories, and 9 web-based or mobile resources. Product, service, and technology entry categories included assistive devices, computer technology/software, fitness/wellness, health products & services, medication management, safety, and more.

Web-based or mobile resource categories included e-newsletters, mobile applications, social media, and websites. Nearly 60 entrants received recognition in the 2011 competition.

2010 Frank H. Netter Award for Special Contributions to Medical Education

The Vesalius Trust for Visual Communications in the Health Sciences has selected Emmi Solutions as the sole recipient of its highest professional award – the Frank H. Netter Award for Special Contributions to Medical Education. This award is given annually to the person or organization whose innovation most effectively demonstrates excellence in visual communication of health information.
