Emmi® Perioperative Solution - Emmi

Overview

Support your patients before, during, and after surgery

Patients who are scheduled for surgery want to understand what is going to happen before, during, and after the procedure. Provider organizations that want to meet this desire need a methodical approach, created from the patient’s point of view.

Patients want to know:

  • What is involved with the surgery
  • How long it will probably last
  • What the risks and complications might be
  • What precautions and preparations they should take prior to surgery
  • How they should expect to feel post-surgery
  • What family members can do to help the patient return to full health

Patients and families who are properly informed and prepared are more likely to have realistic expectations of their hospital stay or outpatient experience, a more cooperative relationship with their caregivers, and a more positive feeling about the hospital or surgery center.

What is the Emmi Perioperative Solution?

Give your patients the tools they want to understand the surgical experience

On the Phone

Clinical Staff: “Great, you’re scheduled for your surgical consult. You’ll be receiving a program to learn about the surgery. Take a look when you have time. The surgeon can address all of your questions during your appointment.”

Patients at Home

Patients receive an email or call giving them online access to these recommended Emmi programs. They can watch them on any computer, phone, or other device of their own convenience.

At Home

The week after discharge, the patients receive the phone calls to check in on their recovery.
